The following five lots were previously the property of Albert John 'Jack' Beacham. Brentford, Gillingham and Worcester City, 1925-1934. Jack was a half back who made over 100 Football League appearances.

Ian Botham, Somerset, Worcestershire, Durham & England 1974-1993. Somerset white long sleeved sweater worn by Botham during his playing career. With Somerset emblem embroideredto chest and trimming to neck and waist in Somerset colours. The sweater was given by Botham to Tim Hudson, his agent during the 1980's. With letter of authentication from Hudson to this effect. Previously sold by Knights in 1996. Minor mark to sweater otherwise in good condition. Rare item of Botham memorabilia

Lot 972:
John 'Jack' Berry Hobbs, Surrey & England 1905-1934. 'Jack Hobbs. The Oval Extra Special' cricket bat used by Hobbs for England v Australia in the 5th Test played at The Oval on the 14th-18th August 1926. Hobbs second innings score of exactly 100 runs in an opening partnership of 172 helped England win the Test match by 289 runs and the series 1-0 after the previous four Tests were drawn. The bat inscribed in Hobbs hand to verso 'J.B. Hobbs. To my friend and supporter E.W. Beston with best wishes August 20th 1926'. The face of the bat nicely signed in ink by both the England and Australian teams. Thirty six signatures including Carr, Hobbs, Larwood, Tate, Geary, Hendren, Chapman, Sutcliffe, Woolley, Sandham, Collins, Bardsley, Macartney, Mailey, Woodfull, Gregory, Ponsford, Hendry, Grimmett, Oldfield, Andrews etc. The bat with number '8' to back. Good/very good condition
