Aubrey Smith played for England and Sussex and captained them in 1887 and 1888. He also captained the Shaw & Shrewsbury team to Australia in 1887/88. He gained fame in the 1930/40's as an actor based in Hollywood and appeared in numerous films. He died in 1948.
