William Wilfred Whysall. Nottinghamshire & England 1910- 1930. Whysall played 346 matches for the club scoring over 20,000 runs with fifty one centuries and an average of 38.76. He played four Test matches for England from 1924-1930. He toured Australia with the M.C.C. in 1924/25 where he played in three of the Test matches. He died in 1930 at the height of his career having fallen on a dance floor and injured his elbow, Septicaemia set in and he died two weeks later.
