Bound in publisher's decorative cloth with a title-page and index at the front. Comprises full-page pictures of sportsmen of the day, with short pen pictures. The cricketers are Abel, J.T.Brown, Fry, W.G.Grace, Gunn, F.S.Jackson, Lohmann, Macgregor, Maclaren, Read, Richardson, Stoddart and Ward, with C.M.Wells in rugby gear. The other sportsmen are athletes, golfers, tennis players, footballers, skaters, chess players, billiard players and cyclists. Some wear to original boards, old damp staining marks to rear board otherwise in generally good condition
